About the event
Passionate about mentoring? Looking for ways to expand the states' tech talent? Interested in seeing the industrial-sized robots our Wisconsin high school students built?
Join Wisconsin's top tech talent as teams of students in 9th-12th grade use their engineering skills and creative power to entertain and move the world.
At this event you'll see students compete in the "Varsity Sport for the Mind" at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, but you'll walk away with far more opportunities:
- Discover how FIRST Wisconsin Robotics and our partners are addressing the tech-talent shortage in Wisconsin,
- Talk with like-minded youth serving organizations and Wisconsin-based companies about how they engage with this pipeline of talent,
- Learn about the importance of mentoring and how interested individuals from all walks of life can take-part in mentoring the next generation of leaders,
- Meet with the students directly to talk with them about the business structures, branding, and sophisticated technology they use to build and program industrial-sized robots.
At the event you'll witness students participating in the "hardest fun they've ever had" to compete in an an action-packed, alliance-based game on a themed field. With professional mentors and sponsors, students learn engineering and problem-solving skills that they can apply to real-world situations.
