FIRST Wisconsin is excited to announce the launch of the Wisconsin District Model Transition Hub—a centralized page dedicated to keeping you informed and supported as we prepare for the shift to the District Model of Play in the 2026 FIRST Robotics Competition season.
This new resource on the FIRST Wisconsin website will serve as your one-stop destination for:
📰 Official announcements and updates
📅 Timeline and season structure breakdowns
❓ FAQs and planning guides
🤝 Volunteer and mentor resources
💬 Opportunities to share feedback and get involved
The transition hub is accessible via the resource menu on the main page of the FIRST Wisconsin website. The resource hub is organized into six key areas:
UPDATES - A curated feed of all blog posts tagged “district-transition” for quick reference. This section focuses on making it easy to stay informed and revisit key communications.
FAQ's -A growing list of frequently asked questions based on what teams across Wisconsin have been asking. This page provides clear, up-to-date answers and will continue to evolve as new details become available.
RESOURCES - Where teams can find one-page resources, essential links, and (coming in August) access to recorded and live workshops that dig deeper into transition topics like event structure, team support, and mentorship.
GET INVOLVED - An open invitation to ensure your voice is heard and to provide individuals information on how to step up and take an active role in building a strong, inclusive future for FIRST Wisconsin.
HISTORY - The journey toward adopting the district model of play in Wisconsin has been shaped by ~10 years of conversation. This page provides a summary of the research and consideration of how this change will impact teams, events, and the student experience statewide.
This transition marks a major milestone in our shared mission to make FIRST more accessible, sustainable, and impactful for all students across the state.
