The clock is ticking! The FIRST Tech Challenge Dean’s List Award submission deadline is Monday, December 15, 2025!
If you haven’t submitted your nominations yet, this is your nudge: now is the time.
What is the Dean’s List Award?
The FTC Dean’s List Award honors exceptional 10th and 11th grade students who are leaders, problem-solvers, role models, and passionate advocates for FIRST.
Dean’s List students typically:
Demonstrate strong leadership and live FIRST Core Values
Help grow awareness of FIRST in their school and community
Show a long-term commitment to FIRST and STEM
Make meaningful individual contributions to their team’s success
Inspire and motivate their peers
Each FTC team can nominate up to two students.
Why It Matters
Being named a Dean’s List Semi-Finalist, Finalist, or Winner is a major achievement. The award is highly regarded by colleges and universities, and winners receive national recognition from FIRST along with opportunities for scholarships and leadership development.
Students from Wisconsin have been recognized at the highest levels in recent seasons—your nominee could be next.
What You Need To Do This Week
Confirm eligibility
Select up to two students in 10th or 11th grade who are active contributors on your team.
Talk with your team
Consider students who show leadership, consistency, kindness, initiative—whether or not they are the loudest voice in the room.
Review the official resources
Read the FTC Dean’s List Award overview and Dean's List Nomination Guide to ensure your submission aligns with the criteria.
Write and submit
Log into the Team Registration System.
Complete the nomination essays.
Double-check student details and save before Monday, December 15.
A Final Push
We know this time of year is busy—robot work, events, holiday schedules, everything. But for your students, this nomination can be truly impactful.
Take 30–60 minutes over the next few days to submit your Dean’s List nominations. Your students are already doing the work; this is your chance to help them be seen and celebrated for it.
