WICMP - Saturday Schedule Update

Thank you to all teams, mentors, and volunteers for how you handled today’s tornado watch.

You remained calm, followed guidance, and helped create a safe environment for everyone in the building. We appreciated your patience as we followed the directives from our venue contact, who was in real time contact with local dispatch.

After returning to the field, we identified that shadows on the AprilTags were impacting calibration and overall field conditions.

We are adjusting the positioning of the lighting to improve consistency across the field and reduce these impacts. As a result of these updates, the field will be reopened for calibration and teams will be provided additional time to calibrate under the new lighting.

Pits open, inspection, and final team load-in will remain at 8:00 AM. We expect to be back on schedule by the end of Opening Ceremonies.
