FIRST Scholarship Program

Hello FIRST Wisconsin teams,

Mentors, please share these updates with your team.

For the students currently on our FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Competition Teams OR alumni of those teams who are looking for scholarship opportunities, please remember to take a look at the FIRST Scholarship information found here: https://www.firstinspires.org/alumni/scholarships

There are TWO providers based in Wisconsin that provide students with FIRST Scholarships, Milwaukee School of Engineering and Viterbo University.

Learn more about their scholarship opportunities here:

There are also scholarships available that can be used at a variety of institutions. Sort and Filter by "ALL AREAS" to see opportunities for beyond a single institution! In addition, Jane Blau wanted to share this information about the NFPA scholarship opportunities for FIRST students:

"National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) offers two different scholarships to high school seniors (see below). Details and access to both applications are provided in each link. Please share this information with your high school seniors, school counselors/advisors, CTE students/educators, and the robotics team/coach and encourage students to apply today! If you have any questions about NFPA’s scholarships, please email Haley Nemeth at hnemeth@nfpa.com.

  • 2024 NFPA Fluid Power Scholarship – multiple $2,0000 scholarships are awarded to high school seniors and students enrolled at community colleges, technical colleges, and universities.

  • 2024 NFPA Robotics Challenge Scholarship – one $30,000 merit-based scholarship is awarded to a high school senior who participates in a FIRST® Robotics, National Robotics League, or VEX Robotics Competition Team and uses fluid power in their robot. The money awarded is used to study engineering at any accredited technical college or university in the United States."

All the Best,

RBB
