Are you curious about volunteer opportunities at FIRST Robotics Competition events but unsure which role suits you best? Have you ever wanted to try emceeing at an event but didn't know whom to contact? Would you like more information about being a judge at an event? Here are the key volunteers who can help answer all your questions.
Sam Billetdeaux
District Senior Volunteer Coordinator
Responsible for all volunteer coordinators in the state, can answer questions about any and all roles, and she can put you in contact with the correct key volunteer or event coordinator.
Abby Esimer
District Senior Front of House Event Manager
Works with all Event Managers across the state. If you are hosting a District or off-season event Abby is a great source of information and can guide you through event management.
Jerry Krist
District Senior Back of House Event Manager
Jerry works with Event Managers and planning committees across the state. He can help with understanding facility requirements, load in and out, and other important infrastructure questions.
Justin Cooper
District Senior Field Technical Advisor
Responsible for all field operations during an event from field assemble and to operations. Justin works with scorekeepers, Field Supervisors and reset staff to ensure the competition runs smooth.
Kristin Flickinger
District Senior Judge Advisor
Kristin collaborates with judge advisors at each event to ensure fair and efficient judging. She is available to address questions regarding the necessary training and time commitments.
Kenneth Mathew
FIRST Wisconsin Senior Talent Team Coordinator
Kenneth collaborates with audience-facing talent, such as game callers and emcees, to refine best practices and scripts, ensuring a consistently high-quality show at each event.
Rachel Hunter
District Senior Head Referee
Rechel work to make sure we have fair completions at every event. She is responsible for referee training and development to make sure we have enough coverage for every event. If you have questions about becoming a ref, please reach out to her.
Jeff Pahl
District Senior Lead Robot Inspector
To ensure fair competition, each robot must undergo inspection at every event. Jeff can assist you in joining his team. With over 30 robots at each event, he requires a large team at the beginning of every event. If you believe you can help prepare all the robots for the field, contact Jeff.
